Field Cutting of Wire Ropes

It is recommended that all rigging professionals use Felco brand cable cutters to achieve fast and easy cuts. The unique triangular cutting design of Felco cable cutters gives a very clean cut to the cable and minimizes the fraying of the individual cable wire strands.

Frayed or otherwise deformed cable ends cause great difficulty when inserting the cut cable into the sleeves.
